Aeos steel, which is quenched and self-tempered (QST) delivers superior mechanical properties like higher yield strength, improved ductility, and enhanced resistance to brittle fracture. The strength-to-weight ratio allows for lighter sections to be used. Also, the improved weldability and reduced preheat requirements make them ideal for complex fabrication. Many Aeos grades do not require preheating before welding which saves time, energy, and cost during erection.
