Carbon Chicken

Carbon Chicken Project • Fayetteville, Arkansas

Carbon Chicken is 80 percent composted poultry litter harvest from broiler houses in the Illinois River Watershed in Northwest Arkansas, and 20 percent biochar made from forest waste such as beetle killed pine trees. We believe we have invented the first Carbon infused (biochar), biologically advanced (inoculated with over 200 soil microbes), pelletized(for slow release and precision application) soil conditioner in the US. Once applied to the soil, biochar remains in the soil for centuries, replacing lost Carbon that has been depleted over decades of intense crop production. CC was designed to replace chemical based fertilizers, and to be the perfect plant food and soil conditioner for farmers that have serious compaction issues due to loss of organic matter. Carbon Chicken is the first tool available to Arkansas farmers that promises to create Black Earth, or Terra Preta, know to be the richest soil found on Earth.

During the composting process, over 200 microbes are extracted and then brewed for 24 hours to develop a powerful biodynamic tea that will charge the biochar, creating a rich nutrient souce that will fully inoculate the biochar.
