Fluff Pulp

Fluff pulp is the absorbency material that goes into baby diapers, feminine hygiene products, bed pads, meat packaging, etc.

Wood chips are cooked to break down into wood fiber. Those fibers are cleaned, bleached, and manufactured into finished rolls that are shipped all over the world. Once received, the rolls are run through a machine that "fluffs" the fiber sheet into individual fibers for use in baby diapers, feminine hygiene products, bed pads, meat packaging, etc. This creates the absorbent core of these products.

The Domtar Ashdown Mill is capable of producing 578,000 tons per year of fluff/market pulp
